| Hello, I use SQL Server 2005. We 2 DBs one with some regular tables,stats, summarystats & look up tables and the second DB w/ the regular tables (stats, summarystats & look up tables) . I need to get some colums mainly the calculated values from the summarystats tables. I was recommneded to perform a synonym. What is your opinion? I also have feed bck the the stat,summarystats DB is OLTP and should not be used for reporting purposes. If I don't doa sysnoym then how do I tackle it? I am in a dilema..help!! Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!! |
