Now i am start doing the Report service application. So first step i started from Sql server -> Configuration tool, Report Service Configuration -> in that almost 10 procedures are avilable to configure the report service, 1) Server status :- Instance Name : MSSQLSERVER InstanceID : MSSQL.2 Initialized : No Service Status : running 2) Report Server Virtual directory :- Name : ReportServer Website : Default website 3) Report Manager Virtual directory :- Name : Report Website : Default website 4) Windows Service Identity :- Service Name : ReportServer Service Account : LocalSystem Built-In-Account : LocalSystem 5) Web Service Identity :- This forum i cannot configure - am using Windows 2000 professional (OS) 6) Database Setup :- Server Name : Com17 Database Name : ReportServer2 Credential type : Sql Server Credential 7) Encryption Key :- Optional configuration 8) Initialisation :- Not Configured 9) Email Settings :- Recomended Configuration 10) Execution Account :- Recomended Configuration The above is my Report service configuration finally , Report Server virtual directory & Report Manager virtual directory is created at IIS sucessfully, by the am trying to browse the Report server application from IIS, like as follows, http://localhost/ReportServer am facing the following error as follows, Reporting Services Error -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The report server has encountered a configuration error. See the report server log files for more information. (rsServerConfigurationError) Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.2\Reporting Services\ReportServer\RSReportServer.config' is denied. SQL Server Reporting Services -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://localhost/Reports/ The report server configuration file specifies localhost for the Web server name. The report server requires that the computer name be specified instead. I don know where is the error...can u please clear me the dowt and error ... Thanks and Advance, ... k a n n a k ...
