I just ran into a problem this weekend. I created a ssis pkg which runs fine from my BIDS 2008. I installed it to run as a daily job on a live db on our 2008 sql server. The server's version I just found out is a standard version. Saturday morning I got a call that the db did not update correctly. In reviewing the log, the error said that the Fuzzy Grouping I used in the pkg only worked on the enterprise edition. New to me that there are some items in the BIDS toolbox that will not run when installed on a server with a standard version. So now I have to find a different way to do what I was doing with the fuzzy grouping transformation. Question: Where do I find what ssis toolbox items do and do not run on our server's sql server 2008 standard version? My BIDS 2008 is "Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Designer Version 10.0.2531.0"> This does not give me any informaiton about why I can design and run a pkg with fuzzy grouping from my pc.
