Hi,

I know that in order to improve performance, its better to put those heavily updated tables on different filegroup and indexes on different filegroup.

My question is:

1) Do we have any best practice for filegroup allocation?
2) Is there any maximum number of filegroup that can be craeted for each database ?

Appreciate your reply.

Thanks
