Check the SQL Server error log and the Windows event logs for information about possible related problems.I know the issue is related to security driver software I just installed for an Eracom HSM. This made some kind of change that is preventing the SQL server from starting.I tried uninstalling SQL 2005 Exp and reinstall. Unfortunately during install when it attempts to start the service, it fails with these same errors. This makes me think the issue is with the operating system itself. Uninstalling the software I just installed does not fix the problem.One clue I have is that one of the errors above is related to SSL. Also, I had tried this on a test computer received another error stating that my security.dll may be bad.Any advice? I was thinking about possibly re-applying SP2 for 2003.Thank you! |
