Hi there

I have been braving the configuration of SQL Reporting Services Integration with Sharepoint. Boy is it fiddly! Just when I've managed to solve one problem, i hit another one. Now i'm right at the last step - actually trying to publish the reports from BIDS to Sharepoint and I am getting a 401 - you are not authorized error. Or to be precise:

TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Report Designer
------------------------------

Could not connect to the report server http://d-dc-extsp08/sites/KPIReports/. Verify that the TargetServerURL is valid and that you have the correct permissions to connect to the report server.

------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Server was unable to process request. ---> The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized. (Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer)

------------------------------
BUTTONS:

OK
------------------------------

The configuration of SSRS & Sharepoint seem to be perfectly fine - I've followed various blogs/articles/manuals and have managed to succeed in getting everything to work correctly apart from this last step.

I'm using a multi-server deployment configuration, with MOSS and the sharepoint DBs on one server, and SSRS and the SSRS DBs on another. I am using domain accounts, and have granted god access absolutely everywhere to all accounts (both Sharepoints and SSRS') just to get this working.

I did try changing the sharepoint integration authentication type from windows auth to trusted. That worked! I could then publish my reports to Sharepoint! But i then get an error when i try to browse the reports saying that the datasources require windows. And they do - because I am using an SSAS cube as the data source and it only supports windows.

In SSRS project properties, i should have the correct URLs configured. After all i did manage to publish the report under a trusted auth, so the URLs should all be right.

Any assistance would be sooo appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance
