Hi Experts,

Here is scenerio:

We have two clusters active/passive.

One Cluser A two instances are running. One default and one named instance of sql server 2005.

On second cluster B, active/passive, one sql server 2005 named instance is running.

We are planning to build two new servers. Windows team will install windows we will install sql server instances.

On one computer we will install default and named instance from one cluster A.

On second computer we will install one named instance of sql server as on second cluster B.

We will restore system and users databases from netbackup on these new installed instances.

My question is:

When we rebuild one server for cluster A, we will install default and named instance on new server. Named instance is ok, but default instance will have different name. Before this it has cluster name as default instance name, but know physical server name is different. How we will restore system databases on new default instance?

Or is there any problem to restore system and users databases or recover servers in this scenerio.

During recovery of these servers, clusters will be not available on net.

Thanks
