I cannot install Sql 2005 express; have tried several times and get the same errors. This is an XP laptop, meets all requirements, but I continue to the the following:MSXML6 - MainEngineThread is returning 1603SQL Native Client - MainEngineThread is returning 1612SQL Server Database Services- cannot access the message When I try to uninstall the MS SQL Native Client, the uninstall is asking for the Source with the sqlncli.msi. Error Message(The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable)I have already extracted the sqlexprtmp file into a directory and reference that directory when the uninstall requests the CD, but i get the same message:I have tried to repair the msi file, then uninstall, but no luck. How can I remove this SQL Server Native Client????I am thinking if I can remove the client, then i can reinstall.Anyone have any suggestions????Frank |
