Hi,
I am new to SQL Server. I am trying to install SQL Server 2008 on Window Server 2003. I get the error message "minimum requirement for processor is not satisfied" when I tried to open the application.

My host operating system is Windows 7 Home premium with intel icore i3-370m processor and VMware is the guest operating system. After installation I noticed the default processor used by VMware was pentium II and the minumum processor requirement for SQL Server is pentium III.
Does any one know how to configure VMware to use another processor other than pentium II?
Please note I have also used virtual box and experienced the same problem.
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks
