I am havig problems regarding repackaging the MSDEx86 to an MSI-package.

I have made an snapshot and all that,cleaned it and compiled it to an MSI. It installs OK but when i try to start it i get a error message telling me;
"Your SQL Server installtion is either corrupt or has been tampered with (unknown package id). Please rerun Setup."
My question is : are all installations uniqely identfied? If so has the checksum to do with it?

I am forced to use MSDEx86 due to company policy. But the intended targetOS is win2000.

I am clueless..
