| This is a cross-post from dbforums. Unfortunately, I haven't had any luck from them so I am hoping that someone here will know how to do this. Original thread (started 9/15)http://www.dbforums.com/microsoft-sql-server/1670032-auto-update-table-outlook-contacts-folder.htmlI am using an Outlook folder to create my employee table. I can have Access 2007 link to the outlook folder but I don't know how to do this in SQL Server 2005. My current solution to creating my table is: 1. Create linked table in Access 2007 to Outlook folder 2. Export Access linked table to Excel spreadsheet 3. Import data from spreadsheet into SQL Server 2005 4. Remove 'junk' recordsThere are obviously some drawbacks to my current solution. 1. Employee table is not up-to-dateDoes anyone have suggestions on how to approach this problem? I need a solution that will 1. Keep the employee table up-to-date 2. Only insert new employees into the employee table 3. Never change the employee ID after update 4. Never remove employee records after update |
