Author  Topic  prajval Starting Member 1 Post Posted - 2012-02-20 : 12:57:19 I have a problem with the server name while in server management studio. this is the error :error 0 -no such host is found before this i had error 40 i.e pipe problem some thing , i refered this link http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=90787 and followed the first step changed my alias name what to do next i am new to sql and really need help cause i have to submit my project this week end please help thanks in advance btw i am using sql server 2005 and my os is windows 7 , when i was installing sql server windows showed some comtability problem (should upgrade it to service pack 3 is it nessecary ? i mean it still works or runs .
