| Hello,I am currently operating SQL Server 2005 on my website and require guests to register prior to conducting search queries against my data. To expand my business, I am looking to offer guests the option to conduct search queries without registering and building a portal on my homepage where guests can conduct limited searches. These limited searches will allow guests to query SQL Server 2005 but will only return limited search results, blocking certain (important) data unless the guest registers. My question is this: Can I build a portal that connects guests who are unregistered to my internal SQL Server 2005 database? The goal if for guests to be able to conduct searches from the homepage without having to register with our website. I imagine that, since we already have the data architecture in place, this would simply require some additional programming to build a "limited" search function and embed it onto the homepage? Thanks in advance!! |
