| Hi All,I have asked to write down several options for new SQL 2008 R2 in both virtual and/or physical environments according to our corporate standards.I've only been able to find (from Microsoft) the following...and at this point I'm mostly interested in CPU and RAM parameters. I realize in the virtual world 'many' things come into play but yet there have to be some minimum CPUs and RAM.I anyone can guide where to find them or list them??I found these for physical in MS website:Processor type:• Minimum: AMD Opteron, AMD Athlon 64, Intel Xeon with Intel EM64T support, Intel Pentium IV with EM64T supportProcessor speed:• Minimum: 1.4 GHz• Recommended: 2.0 GHz or fasterand for RAM our corporate decided on 32GB across the board.Thanks in advance for any prompt replies!!lc- lec |
