| A previous staff member had installed a 120-day trial copy of SQL server which recently expired, on our windows XP machine.I uninstalled the trial version and purchased the Developer Edition to install. I proceeded through the installation without a hitch, and the installation seemed to work fine. The old installation was \Server\name and this licensed one is \Serverwhen I try to start enterprise manager, the hourglass appears, works for a while, then dissappears. The mmc service stays loaded, but no enterprise manager. Using Computer Management I can see the SQL Databases. It seems as though the old installation is still causing troubles for the new one. this is the same error that occurs when the 120-day trial version runs out, even though we have done a full uninstall/install with the new licensed version. Can anyone help solve this problem?Regards,Michael Jensen. |
