| Mr Lim writes "To whom it may concern,Currently, I am using the below mentioned system:Standalone SQL Server:1) Pentium III 650 with 512MB SDRam PC1002) Windows NT 4.0 Server(Service Pack 6)3) SQL 7.0 database(Service Pack 3)Recently these few days as I execute this SQL Enterprise Manager(at my standalone server, not from client to server) and click on my server name to view the database, a message will be prompted out and say: "A connection cannot be established, Timeout expired"Hence, I wouldn't be able to see all my databases, and connection failed would be indicated. However, the SQL isstill running(with a green arrow indication, but there is no red curly line beside it)fine but can't be connected. Really crack my head... Have restart server, have stop the SQL and start again, but still cannot work. However, if I install this SQL in my workstation and pointed out to my server database, I could view all the database. Is there some linkage problem in my SQL 7.0 server???Greatly appreciate your advise on this area.Thank you very much and have a nice day.Best RegardsMr Lim" |
