Ramunas writes "I cannot conigure sql mail. I have my own workstation, there is installed windows 2000 professional + sql server 2000. All work fine. Our team has one sever for developing and testing sw, named srvdev. Here is sql 2000 server + sql server 2000 developer edition. Sql server service is running on my own account. I also instelled Outlook 2000 on srvdev.
Then I choose start->control panel->mail. In the services tab I
left "Microroft Exchange Server" and "Personal address book". I choose properties of "Microroft Exchange Server" I see our exchange server name and my name in the generel tab.
I open sql server enterprise manager, I expand microsoft sql servers, then sql server group, then srvdev, then Support services, then I choose SQL Mail, right click. I get SQL Mail Configuration - SERVDEV. In the profile name dropdown I not found any profile name. Then I tried to write my own profile name "ramblk" and then click test. I get an error:
Error 18025: xp_test_mapi_profile: failed with mail error 0x80040106.
No additional description is given.
What could be description of this error? What additional actions should I do to configure sql mail?
