| Hi, I got Visual Basic Express Beta 2 up and running. I also successfully installed SQL Server Express April CTP. However, when I try to connect to the SQL server via the XM or Visual Studio I get a Timeout error. Any thoughts? I am running XP Home, don't know if this makes a difference.... Update, I just got VS 2005 Beta 2 to connect. Don't know why this worked, but it did. I attempted to create a new db using SQL authentication with username and password. That returned an error saying the user account was not in an SQL Server Trusted Zone or something along those lines. But then when I changed back to Windows Authentication, it worked.Must be a beta bug. Anyway, hope this benefits others trying to connect. |
