OK, I have some questions about licensing of SQL Server 2000.

I'm currently with a web host and want drop the monthly expense for having SQL Server 2000 on my web server by investing in my own copy.

1. Is it possible to buy a used version of SQL Server 2000 on EBay and transfer the license to me? Is this legal or allowed by Microsoft? If so, what must I have with it? The box with hologram or is the license and genuine CDs enoug? How do you transfer a license?

2. Can I legal or legitimately buy an OEM version and install on my server?

3. What is SQL Server 2000 Workgroup edition and can I use that on a webserver to serve web pages. I know about the memory and CPU limitations but couldn't find any info about the usage in a web application.

Thanks in advance for your help!
