Ben writes "Hello SQL TEAM, for my sake I hope this is an easy fix. Here's my problem:I am attempting to enable remote connections on a SQL 2k5 instance, but 1) do not have the option for mixed mode authentication and 2) when I attempt to enable remote connections via the SQL Surface Area Configuration manager I get the following error:"To configure Rmeote Connections for Analysis Services you must be an administrator for the Analysis Services Server (SQLSAC).Additional Info:A connection cannot be made. Make sure that the service is running (Micrsoft.AnalysisServices)No Connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it (System)."The System info is as follows:- OS is Windows 2000 SP4- Server is currently running 2 SQL 2K SP4 active/passive clusters, 1 SQL 2K5 active/passive cluster, and 1 Active/Passive SQL 2k5 Analysis Services Cluster, so there are 4 virtual servers running. - Run account is domain account with domain administrator priviledges and is used for all instances. Feel free to contact me if more info is desired. Thanks in advance. ben" |
