David Barry writes "Hey guys.... I know this is strictly a volunteer area, but I posted a question about the SQL installer aborting due to an alleged missing RLL file. (Virginal Small biz server install.) Haven't had any reply, nor is it in the forum

Can I just repost it directly to the forum? Or are questions about the installion process ittself out of scope for this site

Help:

I have now tried to do three virginal installs of SBS (Small Business Server 2000), installing the
SQL Compontents. (I am using the MSDN version for test purposes.)

During the SQL 2000 installation, the following dialogs appear:

! Microsoft SQLServer Replication:
Replress.rll could not be found /
Can not load resource DLL: Replres.rll
The specified module could not be found

After this, a whole slew of dialogs appear along identical lines, all
complaining about REPLRES.RLL

I have verified that the file Replres.rll can be sucessfully read from
the CD and copies to the Hard Drive. As I mentioned this is a
virginal SBS install on a freshly formatted drive.

I am at wits end here about why this is happening.

Any assistance at all would be appreciated. Replies to the newsgroup,
although email can be sent to: dcbarry (AT) pacificnet (dot) net

Many thanks!"
