| Summer writes "Microsoft's site is confusing as far as what patches should be installed on SQL 2000 and 7.0. Please let me know if this is correct:If a server is running anything other than sp3 or sp3a, I should apply the sp3a service pack + the cumulative security patch to bring the version up to 8.00.818. If a server is running SP3, I should apply the cumulative security patch to bring the version up to 8.00.818. If a server is running SP3a, I should apply the cumulative security patchto bring the version up to 8.00.818. If a server is running SQL Server 7.0, the final version should be the SP4 patch + the cumulative security patch. I couldn't find anything stating what that version is. Thanks for your help!" |
