David writes "I have lost my ability to connect to the databases part on remote servers using Enterprise Manager in SQL Server2000. I can still connect to local databases, but when I connect to remote servers, the connection will go through, but when I try to access the databases on a shared server, I either get a no databases found, or the system will hang. Have I unknowingly changed a setting somewhere, or what could be the problem? My operating system is Windows 2000 Professional. I am still able to access the remote databases using other tools like Visual InterDev, or even a local system DSN, but just not in Enterprise Manager. I am not getting an error message generated anywhere with this problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and nothing changes. Even deleting the server registration and readding it changes nothing. Everything was fine until like a week ago. What can I do??? Help...
Thanks" |
