Hi all, I'm trying to install MSDE in silent mode and without using a .ini file (on a machine with windows 2000 server and SQL 2000 already insatalled).
At the end of the installation, the machine reboot automatically, but I need to stop this reboot.
Someone can help me?
Thanks all

You can't stop a reboot and expect the application to work. If an installation needs a reboot, you have to perform the reboot for it to work.

thank you Tara, the fact is that I want to stop the "automatic" reboot to register some information on the machine and then reboot it...

You'll probably have to work with Microsoft to get them to change their installation scripts. Doubt you'll be able to though.

Thanks, I find out the right parameter, if you're interested in, is "reboot=reallysuppress".
Thank you
