Folks, where can I get the throughput per second information for a given sql server 2000 database?Throughput, or, transactions per second, if I understand correctly, is one of the important indicators of how busy the db is. On the old sql7 PerfMon, there are page reads/sec and page write/sec, but in sql2000, I have a hard time finding any meaningful indicator.I went through SQL Profiler and Performance Monitor. Did I miss out other tools/utilities?

In PerfMon, the object is called SQLServer:Databases. The counter is called Transactions/sec. You might want _Total for the instance or maybe you'll want to select the databases that you are interested in.Tara

Not true. You can pull up a server's information from your machine. Just change the server name where it asks for the computer name. It should say your machine name. Just put \\DBServerName instead.Tara
