| Hello,I very very new to Sql server, our production database server blew up last week. I'm having problem restoring the master database to another server with a same name. I'm using varitas backup exec 9.1.Can any one help. |

| Have you looked in SQL Server Books Online about how to restore the master database? It involves starting SQL Server in single user mode from the command line. What exactly blew up? You might not even need to restore master.Tara |
