Is there a problem installing SQL Server 2000 on a Windows Server 2003 machine? When I go to install it says "SQL Server 2000 SP2 and below is not suported by this version of windows". It does let me continue the install, but I'm chicken.TIA

Just carry on with the install, then apply the service pack afterwards. I have installed SQL server on W2003 server and got the same message - installed & applied service packs no problem. I think i remember something on MS website - i'll see if i can find itAndy

Lazy Bum Blum! Hah! I respond as an "expert" on some other forums and am always amazed on how many times I have to tell people to "search this site for your answer", so shame on me. While I did search this site for Windows 2003 Server, it timed out. The lazy part was not checking MS KB before posting...OTOH, I trust the expert advice I get here a helluva lot more than Micro$oft!
