I have two HP DL560 server running on windows 2003 cluster. The cluster and the MSDTC service is running well. When I just installed SQL server 2000 enterprise on the windows 2003 server,I met a problem.I want to install the SQL server with virtual server mode. After the installation shield register me to input the virual server name, server's IP address, volume of database saved, possible cluster node and administrator's password, when I click "next" to continue, the installation is canceled automatic. After several minutes, the "sqlsetup" process is killed by system.
But if the server is running without cluster, the installation program can complete finish.
What a strange thing it is. It have puzzled me for three days now.
Please help me, thanks a lot!

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I'm having issues with MSDTC install. The docs say that MSDTC needs it's own IP, Disks, etc.
How large of a disk does it need? 1GB? 20GB??
Can it be shared with something else?

With your problem, did you look at the Event log and I think there's a SQL install log file someplace on your machine. Look for all .Log files.

Thanks!
Michael
