Hi,

I have our cube on Analysis Services (on our server) and thus can only browse/analyze/use the cube while connected to the LAN (and thus the server).

Is there any option in either Analysis Service or via some tool to export the whole cube asa single file to a local machine so that the user can do the analysis when off-line e.g when not connected to the LAN or when at home?

Will appreciate any suggestions. Many thanks.

Thanks & Regards.

I think your best option is to use MS Excel to do this.
Also some other clients like ProClarity can creat local cube files.

Local cubes don't always have all the functionality the sever cubes have,
I have experienced problems with sorting of dimension members, calculated measures, presentation format of data, etc..
For simple cubes, then the local version has worked alright.

A quick google...
