| Am I right in thinking that [out of the box] with 4GB RAM installed the O/S will get 2GB and SQL will get 2GB (rather than them both fighting over a single 2GB area)? And /3GB makes NO difference UNLESS running SQL Enterprise Edition? And if running Windows with /3GB in boot.ini AND SQL Enterprise Edition then SQL gets 3GB and Windows restricts itself to 1GB?(The specific platform I'm interested in is Windows 2003 Server and SQL Standard, but my question is more for General Knowledge)ThanksKristen |
