| Are there any monitoring utilities out there that provide you with a graphical interface for monitoring SQL server activity? In my mind's eye, I would like something like a bar chart by user/spid that provides views of cpu, memory, and I/O. I realize EM provides a accumulated view of this and it is possible to produce this info in QA. |

| Quest has spotlight, BMC has dbxray and idera has sqlcheck. You can download all of these to test out. I think the idera product is free though.-ec |

You should start with Performance Monitor. It's free, it's already installed, and it's easy to use.quote: Originally posted by jason Are there any monitoring utilities out there that provide you with a graphical interface for monitoring SQL server activity?
