Knight writes "Hi,

I had an SQL server 7.0(Desktop Edition) running on WINXP, due to some problems on the PC, i had to take the backup of the database.

now after i formatted the pc and try to restore the backup, it gives me following message.

Server: Msg 3242, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
The file on device 'c:\pos.bak' is not a valid Microsoft Tape Format backup set.

Please help me how i can restore this data.
