| Hi,I sort of accidentally stumped upon a small piece of freeware called StarInix SQL Compare, have any of you guys tried it out? I'm thinking there must be something wrong here but the app seemingly works like nothing I've seen before! The application is a completely standalone file of about 500kb and it compared my 600-objects test and production database in about 10 seconds (they are in different countries!!). It only checks for the existance of objects and fields in tables but still...could prove to be invaluable for me. Second opinions anyone?-> http://www.starinix.com/products.htm(I have absolutely nothing to do whatsoever with this site or its creators)--Lumbago"Real programmers don't document, if it was hard to write it should be hard to understand" |

If it's free, and works for you... you don't really need a second opinion It does look cool though. In the past I've used Red Gate's SQL Compare, or if I'm feeling ghetto I just script out the databases and DIFF them.DamianIta erat quando hic adveni. |
