Victor writes "What I'm doing wrong? I have been trying to configure my SQLAgentMail for the past week but I keep getting Dr Watson error (mmc.exe exception access violation) this error shutsdown the SQL server. I'm able to send email using my mail client which is Outlook also I can send a test email to a SQL operator. But as soon as I click the ok button on the operator screen the error will be generated. Also when I check the SQL Agent error log I have this massege ([000] Password verification of the 'SQLAgentCmdExec' proxy account failed (reason: A required privilege is not held by the client). I'm not sure how to correct this error because I am not using a proxy server. The mail seever is not an Exchange server I am using a UNIX mail server. Does this have any thing to do with SQL mail not recongnizing the email profile on the UNIX machine?

Thanks for the anticipated help
Victor"
