Hi Guys,

Ive recently tried using SQL server on a local W2k machine to enable development of asp pages to continue off line (expecting a speed increase!) but now, instead of query times being 0.x seconds via the hosted external servers, I am now getting query times locally of 30-50 seconds.

I havent been involved in admin before, so go easy on me :)

I tend to believe its the local permissions of SQL that are doing this?

More specs - pIII 1000, 256mb, W2k Pro, SQL 2000, MSDE

Why I tend to think its SQL server, is when I do a profile, there is a lot of "Audit login / logout" whilst queries are being performed.

If not correct, where and how do I start to look?

Thanks in advance.
J.B
