| John writes "I have installed the desktop edition of MS SQL Server. It was included on a CD that came with a text book I'm using for a client/server class. The install went fine, problems arise when I add myself as a user. Regardless of what password I put in, the password utlimately defaults to a 10 character password which I do not know. I've tried adding myself as a user using both the add user wizard and the add user unde the security/login tab in the enterprise manager. No luck, the password defaults to a 10 character, unknown. I tried reinstalling the software twice and the same results. Two questions:1) Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?2) If not, doesn anyone know the password? Thanks much in advance.-John" |
