Are you sure it installed SQL Express?

ok - got to Add/Remove Programs and select Remove for Microsoft SQL Server 2005. You'll get a wizard that lists the instances on your machine. Select the one called SQLEXPRESS and you can uninstall just that one.

Thanks

Are you still connected to the instance?

This looks like a setup bug. You can either call PSS, or we can attempt to debug this over the forum - no guarantees.

If you want to go the latter route, kill setup and look in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG to see if there are any log files (substitute your install path if different)

Can you email them to me? I'll PM you my address so you can send attachments.

Edit: You need to setup some contact info so I can email you through sqlteam.

Very strange. There's certainly a problem with the uninstaller - I'll file a bug. Glad it worked eventually - quite often setup problems go away the 2nd time through, but that's still a problem we don't want to see.

Don't know much about RS - suggest you post in the RS forum here.

Thanks
