Thomas Rae writes "I was wondering do both nodes need to be up when I'm setting up SQL? The reason I am wondering is I keep getting this error all the time when trying to install the program files. The drive chosen for the program files installation path, C:, is not valid on all nodes of the cluster. Choose another drive to install the program files.

the way I have mine setup is that I have more disk space on drive d. I would like to put the files there but the system files are all on C"

Both nodes should be up during installation, because the program files are installed on both nodes.
