| I know I have read that MSDE had a 2GB limit on database size and that Express should have one on 4GB, but I am by 'accident' ended up with a database with an .mdf of 4400MB and .log 2000MB in my Express SP1 ... when will it stop me ... and how ?--This one's tricky. You have to use calculus and imaginary numbers for this. You know, eleventeen, thirty-twelve and all those. |

| The 4 GB database size limit applies only to data files and not to log files. Also, 4 GB size limitation applies per database so you can have multiple databases with 4 GB size. How did you exceed your database size from more than 4400 MB. I know for sure that if your db size is more than 4 GB you can't restore or attach your database in express it will give an error. |

| Filled it with data .... I dont really dare detach/attach it as of yet, I need it for test purposes at bit longer (took quite a bit to fill it with data) ... on the other hand, nice long weekend comming up and my workplace PC gets so bored without me.--This one's tricky. Database size > 4GB
