... Weill installing sql server management studio upgrade enterprise manager?I was wondering if i install sql server management studio express on a pc with enterprise manager on it, if that will upgrade the enterprise manager? I was hoping to have them installed side by side so that i can manage my sql server 2000 dbs with enterprise manager and manage a sql express 05 db i have on another pc with the managment studio. Thanks! |

ps...also, can a person install the sql express 05 db engine while sql client tools (2000) are installed on the machine? i installed (in this order) sql server 2000 client tools (cause i am running win xp), visual studio 2003, and then visual studio 2005.during the visual studio 2005 installation i got an error at the end that said sql express could not complete its installation or something...thanks! |

The SQL 2000 tools are completely independant of any 2005 stuff.Your issue with the sql express setup may be elsewhere.-------Moo. :) |
