HiI have problems to find the Reporting Services in the MSSQL Server Express adv. Services. Is it because I have onlx the Windows Home installed? And the IIS is missing? I hope not!I also work with C# Express and now I really need to produce some reports and graphics...Greetings from Germany,Quattrus |

IIS is a requirement for Reporting Services to work as it is a web based product. You will not be able to run RS on Windows XP Home, sorry. The report designer is not included in C# Express. The only VS Express product that offers a report design experience is Visual Web Developer Express, and then only by downloading a separate set of designers. (VWD downlaods are at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vwd/download/.) I know that Visual Studio Pro includes the report designers, but I'm not sure about VS Standard.Regards,Mike WachalSQL ExpressThis posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.Use of included script samples are subject to the terms specified athttp://www.microsoft.com/info/cpyright.htm |

There are some unsupported ways to install IIS on Windows XP Home, but I do not recommend it. Use on your own risk! Also I do not know if this infringe copyrights.http://www.15seconds.com/issue/020118.htmPeter LarssonHelsingborg, Sweden |
