There are lots of different kinds of analysts, but your one sounds like it's a data analysis role (given the SQL requirement). If so, it would be very different to a developer role. |

Depends,Often they are the interface between the business users and the developers. Expected to know about the business and be able to translate the requirements into a form that can be given to the developers to implement. In that role how much technical knowledge they need or use is debatable. That would probably be called a business analyst.Didn't this come up at the interview?==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |

i think it s more of a SQL analyst since they said 70% of the duties d involve SQL and 30% d involve support in a production environnment (a bit of networking a bit of Veritas...bla bla bla) |

I'd say you have to do some analysis.Damian"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." - Emerson |

These seem like questions that would be better to ask the people making the offer.Job titles often have very little to do with actual job responsibilities.CODO ERGO SUM |
