Hi Friends,

I have two tables, one table has 42 lacks records and other one has 8 lacks records.
I have wrote inner join with two table but excutaion time to more, it is taking more than half an hour to execute.

Please give the tips how can i improve this query.
It's very urgent.

Are the columns you are joining indexed (in both tables)?

Yes both columns are indexed but still it's taking time

You are posting this in the Analysis Services forum.
Does it take time to run the query in Query Analyzer, or while loading up the cube/dimension?

How many rows are you retrieving? If you are retrieving LOTS of result records then its probably just the retrieval (i.e. network) time.

If that's the case how long does it take to execute if you change it to, say:

SELECT TOP 10 ...

?
