| Dwight writes "Is it possible to store the data files for SQL server 2000 on another server or network attached storage device? During installation it asked where we want to store the data files, but it had to be drives that were on the local computer. We have a network attached storage device that has 300 gig of space and wanted to use this for the SQL data files." |

| A quick search for network attached storage (http://www.sqlteam.com/SearchResults.asp?SearchTerms=network+attached+storage) turned up a few articles. This one (http://www.sqlteam.com/item.asp?ItemID=128) talks a little about it. It's an old article though so check with your vendors. |
