| Can you post the error messages you got, or even better, the Windows event log from your install?The only product that uses MS SQL Server syntax is SQL Server. There are other SQL products out there (mySQL, PostGres) that are free, but they have there own language syntax that is not entirely compatible with SQL Server. |

| Andrew, unless you are running a Server version of the OS, you won't be able to install the Standard or Enterprise Editions of SQL Server. But, you should be able to install the Developers or Personal Editions.------------------------GENERAL-ly speaking... |
