Is there any way to have the results pane auto hide ? Im lazy and dont want to manually (ctl-R) hide each time i run something, then starting writing code again

you can just drag the splitter all the way down to the bottom of the window.

also you can go to tools/options/query results/results to grid(text) and choose "display results in separate tab".
