Gina writes "I have a script that pulls specific data in a MySQL database. I need the results to go into a csv flat file that I can store for export to an ssis package to sql 2005. The professional services group i'm paying to do this project now informs me that the best method is to get the data in flat file format and this needs to be done by a dba in my firm. I am not getting any support anytime I meniton the data is coming from a MySQL data base to my firm.
I keep hearing that this should be easy to do, but i work for a major firm and i'm not getting any support on this.

Please help me. Is this easy? The professional sevices group we contracted says that even with the drivers to that allow connection from mysql to sql 2005 the meta data is different and could cause adverse/unknown results.

Is this true or are they blowing smoke. Can anyone provide an expamle of how to write a job that will take script results and put in csv flat file format.

Thanks"

MySQL has an admin interface named phpMyAdmin.
With this tool, you can export the data into a csv-file.
