You first need to setup an operator. They can be found in SSMS under SQL Server Agent. Once that has been setup, double click on the job in SSMS, go to Notifications, select the e-mail option and point it to your new operator.Tara Kizer

Thanks.. In "E-mail name:" box, do i have to type the name of profiler that I've set up in Database mail?I did setup an operator, but I am not able to send an email.. I don;t receive an email even though the job has failed..I did test "Send email" after I set up a profiler in database mail. and it worked fine..What am I doing wrong here?

It sounds like what you've done is correct. Perhaps the Agent needs to be restared. I'm not sure though.Tara Kizer
