I'm brand new to reporting services. I've never used it before and I'm trying to install it.I have SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 4. Silly question, but how do I install Report Services?I'm installing on the same server just for development and testing purposes. We'll install on a different server on produciton for performance. Can anyone help?Thank you. |

For 2k, reporting services does not come on the same CD as SQL Server itself. If you have licensed copies you should have gotten a copy of it on a seperate CD, ironically called SQL Server Reporting Services. The license is free if you install it on the same box as your SQL Server, but it is not recommended to do it this way. Once you install to another server you will need to pay MS the 200 licensing fee.Programmers HowTo's -- http://jhermiz.googlepages.com |
