I have a case of SQL Server 2005 production db's publication which does not have either Log reader, snapshot or distribution agents.I need to modify primary key in one of the tables, and existing publication does not allow this. When I try to start snapshot job in GUI I am getting of course error:"Could not find the regular snapshot job for the spicified publication. Supply either @job_id or @job_name to identify the job, error 20678."Is there any way to erase it with system st procs or SQL?Help is greatly appreciated. |

i haven't encountered your case yet (sounds serious, some leftover or uncommitted publication creation) but in 2000 there's a clean up system sproc, search msdn for the equivalent in 2005 (i remember searching for it once, 2 years back and found it at msdn)HTH--------------------keeping it simple... |
